One killed and multiple injured as gunfire erupts at sacred place of worship




A man has killed a Canadian woman and injured multiple others after opening fire at Mexico’s Teotihuacan pyramids. The man then turned the gun on himself after opening fire, killing himself. Mexico’s security cabinet said the injured people were receiving medical care. The pre-Hispanic city was one of the most important cultural centers in Mesoamerica.At least six people are injured, four via gunshot and the other two sustained injuries from falls. Authorities say they have seized a firearm, a bladed weapon and live cartridges at the site.Videos on social media show people fleeing from the scene as gunshots can be heard around Teotihuacán’s Pyramid of the Moon.
