Harry Kane has been tipped for a move back to Tottenham following the club’s heavy spending spree so far this window.Spurs have forked out the cash to bring in Sandro Tonali, Matheus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke for a combined total of over £235million.Tottenham have also signed former Bournemouth defender and World Cup runner-up Marcos Senesi and Liverpool legend Andy Robertson on free transfers in a rebuild of the squad.Following the heavy spending, former Spurs boss Tim Sherwood feels that a return to North London for Kane could be on the cards.Speaking exclusively to GB News through BetGoodwin, Sherwood feels that Spurs are slowly heading in the right direction to bring back Kane in the future with their moves so far this window.He said: “Well, over the last two seasons, I would have said [Spurs are] miles away from getting Harry Kane back. “Harry Kane wants to come back to the Premier League to someone who can win, but having seen the window, what they’ve just had – they still have got to do it on the pitch. “And [Roberto] De Zerbi has got a lot of pressure on his shoulders now to do that. So he’s going to have to produce now. But I don’t think they’re finished in the market.”The former Spurs boss praised the signing of Tonali, feeling the deal is bold by the board to fork out £100m.Sherwood noted Kane’s return depends on Spurs playing in the Champions League | PAHe said: “You know, they bought poor players for £60m before, quite a lot of them, but they’ve always fitted in within the wage bill and the wage cap. “This guy has smashed it out of the park, so that’s good news for anyone or Tottenham fans certainly, because they know it opens Tottenham up to a different market altogether regarding players, and certainly when you’re talking about Harry Kane. “If he wants to come back to Tottenham, they would have had to smash their wage cap, and I think Tonali’s helped smash through the ceiling of that now.”
