First look inside new planes, with world’s biggest Business cabins and restaurant in the sky




British Airways shared a glimpse of a stunning nose-to-tail makeover of its A380 fleet, and it is sure to impress anyone flying long-haul from the UK.The carrier’s multi-billion-pound investment touches every single cabin class, from economy right through to a brand-new luxury First suite, with the first revamped superjumbo set to take off in the coming months.It is one of the biggest cabin overhauls any airline has ever attempted, with more than 35,000 individual parts being fitted across each aircraft.Chairman and CEO of British Airways, Sean Doyle, said: “This is a major milestone for British Airways and the future of our A380 fleet, marking one of the most significant transformations we’ve ever undertaken on any aircraft.”Every seat, screen, galley and stairway has been rethought, meaning British travellers can look forward to a premium experience regardless of which ticket they book.British Airways has announced updates to all cabins | BRITISH AIRWAYSFirst suitesThe biggest upgrade of the project is BA’s reimagined First suite, which has been crafted to feel like stepping into a modern luxury hotel at 35,000ft.Designers and manufacturers from across the UK and Ireland brought the suite to life, and couples seated in the centre can open a divider to create a shared lounge space, perfect for dining together.BA has teamed up with heritage British brand Swaine for a gorgeous unisex amenity kit, inspired by the luggage of early air travellers and filled with Wildsmith skin care products designed to keep skin hydrated at altitude.When it is time to sleep, crew will set up a proper luxury mattress, lightweight cotton duvet and a specially designed pillow, so passengers can genuinely wake up feeling refreshed on arrival.

Business Class CabinsThe upper deck of the A380 is being given over entirely to business class, creating the largest business class cabins in the world. This will feature 106 Club Suite seats spread across four distinct zones.Each zone has been designed to feel more intimate, with dedicated dwell areas and Club Kitchens where passengers can stretch their legs and grab a bite.
