The UK has signed what has been labelled by Sir Keir Starmer as a “historic” trade deal with the US.The trade agreement was confirmed in a call between the Prime Minister and the US President which was broadcast live on both sides of the Atlantic.US import taxes which had threatened to cripple British high-end carmakers were cut from 27.5 per cent to 10 per cent, while the 25 per cent tariff on steel has also been removed. The blanket 10 per cent tariff imposed on all imports by Trump as part of his sweeping “liberation day” announcement remains in place. With that in mind, do you think that the US trade deal will be good for Britain?
