easyJet announces new route to ‘firm-favourite’ holiday spot with ‘fantastic beaches’




easyJet is launching new flights connecting the UK to the Greek island of Rhodes. This comes as the budget airline brings a fourth aircraft to London Southend Airport, with a brand-new Airbus A320neo joining the fleet from next summer.The Greek island is one of the most loved destinations in the Mediterranean, famous for its stunning beaches, rich history and warm hospitality.Each aircraft based in the UK supports roughly 400 jobs — both directly and indirectly — along with £27million in gross value added to the economy.easyJet will launch a new route between the UK and Greece | GETTYThe route kicks off next year, on April 27, and will run twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
