Makerfield residents have delivered their verdict on newly elected MP Andy Burnham. Speaking to GB News National Reporter Jack Carson, locals offered a mixed reaction to the outgoing Manchester Mayor, with one Briton declaring he is “not for the working man”.Speaking at a victory rally in Makerfield, the newly elected MP declared it is the Labour Government’s “last chance for change”.He said: “We’ve been on a path for 40 years that simply hasn’t worked for people and places in this part of the world, and this now is the change moment.”That is the main thing I think we need in this country right now, for people to feel a sense of hope that there is something better to work towards on the horizon.”Asked whether Mr Burnham should challenge Sir Keir Starmer for the Labour leadership, one local admitted that he “likes both of them”.He told GB News: “I’m not sure that he should, but if he does, I’ll be made up for him if he gets it.
