
An OnlyFans model who filmed her client as he suffocated to death has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter.Michaela Brashaye Rylaarsdam, 32, was asked by Michael Dale to wrap him up “like a mummy” at his home in Escondido, California, in April 2023.He also requested that she glue women’s boots to his feet and pour adhesive into his eyes to seal them shut.Rylaarsdam is said to have filmed herself for her OnlyFans content as her client struggled to breathe.She eventually phone 911 and attempted to resuscitate Mr Dale as he became unresponsive.Police found Mr Dale with pink duct tape over his mouth and a plastic bag covering his head.His legs, wrists, and fingers were also found bound with duct tape and cling film.He had a bag wrapped around his head for at least eight minutes, a post-mortem examination found.Michaela Brashaye Rylaarsdam is said to have filmed herself as Michael Dale suffocated | COURT TVPolice arrested the OnlyFans model in February 2024.Detectives found “several troubling videos” of Mr Dale on Rylaarsdam ‘s phone, and images of him bound that were sent to her husband.Mr Dale’s roommate told the court he overheard him asking for Rylaarsdam to stop, and offering money for her to do so.An affidavit, seen by the Los Angeles Times, stated her husband had financially benefitted from the crime.Michaela Brashaye Rylaarsdam is expected to be sentenced for four years in prison | GETTY”Her husband did in fact get at least $1,000 more from Dale while she was in Dale’s home, and her husband encouraged her to continue getting more from Dale by engaging in fetish behaviour,” the affidavit read.Rylaarsdam was initially charged with second-degree murder, and later pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of involuntary manslaughter.She is expected to be sentenced to four years in prison at a hearing in June.Detective Chris Zack, of the Escondido police department, said there was no evidence Mr Dale had asked for the bag to be placed on his head.David Jarman, the deputy district attorney, said: “The evidence showed that he hired her to perform bondage acts and fetish acts.”There is no indication that he asked her to obstruct his breathing, asked her to put tape over his mouth, asked her to put a plastic bag over his head.”Rylaarsdam’s lawyer, defending, said she had called 911 and had attempted life-saving measures on Mr Dale.David Cohen, her attorney, said there was clearly “no intent to kill”.He added she “acted appropriately” when Rylaarsdam noticed her client struggling.
