Switzerland has been named the best country in the world for expats looking to start a new life abroad in 2026, according to a major study.It analysed 34 different factors across 16 key relocation categories to find the top destinations offering the best quality of life, healthcare, earning potential and stability for those moving overseas.Researchers said the findings reflect how more expats are prioritising lifestyle, family-friendly policies and long-term financial security when considering a move abroad.Switzerland took the top spot for the first time with an index score of 60.77 out of 100. One of the biggest movers in the rankings was Spain, which climbed 11 places from last year, to take 10th position overall.Spain is the most family-friendly country in the study, according to the data.
