London ambulance attack: Priti Patel calls for major antisemitism crackdown after ‘incomprehensible’ arson attack




Dame Priti Patel has condemned Monday’s “abhorrent” arson attack in Golders Green, calling the incident “beyond comprehension” and expressing profound disbelief that such violence could occur in contemporary Britain.Speaking to GB News, the Shadow Foreign Secretary declared: “I find this incomprehensible. This is a community that I know very well.”The Conservative frontbencher emphasised her personal connection to the Jewish community, stating she had grown up alongside them and struggled to process what had happened.”This is terrible. It is absolutely terrible,” she said, adding that the safety and security of Jewish people must be treated as paramount.Ms Patel noted the target was a volunteer ambulance service staffed by community members who dedicate their time to saving lives, describing the assault on such an organisation as “abhorrent.”She declared that antisemitism across the country had reached unacceptable levels, stating: “The level of antisemitism across our country is out of order. It really is. We are at war.”
